Friends of Mercy

Friends of Mercy was created shortly after the opening of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center by CHW Foundation – East Valley as an opportunity for members of the community to become engaged in supporting the hospital through advocacy, social networking, and philanthropy.

At the monthly meetings, Friends of Mercy guests have the opportunity to network with like-minded East Valley residents to gain a better understanding of the services and programs offered by Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Educational presentations by physicians and caregivers are followed by the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session. Also included in the meetings are updates by the Hospital President & CEO on the latest endeavors that impact healthcare within the hospital and our community.

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a not-for-profit, mission-based organization, and depends on support from our community and other strategic partners to help fund capital projects, advanced technology and research, and outreach programs. From high-tech to high-touch, philanthropy changes the lives of our patients every single day.

Fundraising Project: Bioptics Digital Specimen Radiography System
$72,000

In cooperation with CHW Foundation – East Valley, Friends of Mercy has undertaken fundraising for a project that directly impacts our patients. The Bioptics Digital Specimen Radiography System enhances the standard of care for patients undergoing surgical excision or core biopsy procedures by providing the physician with immediate images for efficient evaluation and reduces the anesthesia and overall surgery time.

If you would like to make a contribution for this project, simply fill out the donation form and return to the Foundation.
